Cave di marmo Experience

A unique and unforgettable experience visiting the most famous marble quarries in the world: for a breathtaking sight, book a stay at the Marble Quarries of Massa Carrara. Enjoy a guided tour in absolute safety on a Land Rover Defender, which will take you 1000 m asl to see the sawmills and laboratories and to experience the places, people, tools and machinery used for the extraction of marble. A visit to the nearby and picturesque village of Colonnata is also recommended, where the famous salami known as Lardo di Colonnata is produced.

Wine tasting

We recommend a visit to a local winery to taste one of the most popular Italian products in the world: wine. Thanks to the mild climate, the exposure to the midday sun and the presence of high mountains that protect the grapes from the coldest temperatures, the Tuscan vineyards of Lucca, are renowned all over the world for the quality of the DOC wine they produce. There are numerous family-run wineries willing to open their doors to those interested in wine production. With care and wisdom, these families illustrate all the procedures that lead to the creation of one of the most famous Italian products in the world.

Free time to have lunch in the little town of Montecarlo.

Later the bus will take you to the nearby town of Collodi to visit Villa Garzoni, where you can admire a beautiful 17th Century building, its garden and the Butterfly House, home to multi-coloured butterflies from tropical and equatorial areas.

Italian Cooking Class

We strongly recommend that you participate in an Italian cooking class, a real culinary experience To fully experience Italian culture, you can’t avoid talking about food; and why not be the one preparing it? We offer a cooking class based on typical products so that you can learn some of the most traditional Italian recipes: pizza, homemade pasta, gnocchi or bruschetta.

Enjoy an Italian cooking lesson with professional chefs. You will have the opportunity to cook an antipasto, homemade pasta and a dessert and then taste everything at the end of the lesson. An apron and recipes will be provided.

The lesson will be in the city centre of Lucca, from about 9.30am to about 2.30pm.

Later you will visit Palazzo PFanner, a mid-16th Century building in the city centre of Lucca.

Puccini Tour

Take a tour to visit some of the places that shaped the life of the composer Giacomo Puccini. You will visit the town of Celle Puccini, where the Lucchesi nel Mondo Club made Puccini’s home into a museum, the ‘Casa Museo’; then on to Torre del lago Puccini where on the banks of the lake you will visit the house where he composed some of his most celebrated and famous works and finally the little town of Bagni di Lucca, where Puccini spent his summers.
